I was trying to install the program on a new computer I've bought, but an error comes up when I try to launch after installation.

Problem

The program runs on computers that you have but when you install it on a newly purchased machine it will not work and crashes at the first screen.

Response

There is a problem that can occur if you install RUMNUT on a very new computer before you have fully set it up. RUMNUT needs access the a printer driver (but not necessarily a physical printer) during the start up process. Either install the printer driver for your printer or install any driver as follows (WindowsXP):

  • Click on the Start
  • Click on 'Control Panel' Printers and Faxes
  • If any printers are shown right click on one and 'Select as Default Printer'
  • If no printers are shown install a printer driver from the CD that came with your printer.
